FAQs

Thank you for considering Kinked and Curled for your install! Please read the FAQs below before booking.

What is your availability?

Kinked and Curled is open Monday to Saturday 8 AM - 8 PM and on select Sundays (based on stylist travel schedule). Specific dates and times will be shown AFTER you choose your style and add-ons.

Where are you located?

Kinked and Curled primarily serves Charlotte NC and the surrounding areas. I am located in South Charlotte off Providence Road, about 15 minutes South of Uptown. Specific address will be confirmed 48 HOURS prior to your appointment. If you are interested in appointments in any other city or area, email kinkedandcurled@gmail.com for more information.

Is a deposit required?

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. Deposits range from $20 to $50 depending on your preferred install. When you choose your style you will be redirected to PayPal to make your deposit. Please note that your appointment is not confirmed until a deposit is received.

Do you provide the hair?

Hair is provided for select styles. Check the description on your preferred style to see if hair is included.

How long does an installation take?

Your install will be 2-8 hours depending on your preferred install.

Do I need to have my hair washed, dried and detangled before my install?

Yes. You will need to make sure your hair is completely stretched and fully detangled before your install. You run the risk of losing your appointment time (and deposit) if your hair is not ready for install upon arrival.

Can I adjust my style (length, color, size) after I book

Any adjustments must be made 48 HOURS before install date. Some styles require hours of prep work and cannot be accommodated day-of.

Do you provide the hair?
Hair is not provided at this time. I am happy to recommend beauty supply stores and online vendors.

How long does an installation take?
Your crochet install will 1.5- 5 hours depending on the style you choose.

Can Human Hair be used for Crochet Braids?
Human hair is not dense enough to hold the knots to secure your install. Synthetic hair is a much better option for crochet braid installs. I do not support the practice of using glue of any kind to secure the knots because it goes against healthy hair goals.
